What to Expect
Preparation
- Transvaginal Scan Consent: If an internal scan is indicated, you’ll receive a secure text to consent ahead of your appointment. It’s only performed with your explicit consent.
- Full Bladder for Pelvic Scan: Drink about two pints (~1 litre) of water ~1 hour before and avoid emptying your bladder until after initial images.
- Blood Test Instructions: Any specific preparation (e.g., fasting for lipids/glucose) will be emailed after booking, based on your selected package.
During your visit
A clinical specialist sonographer performs your ultrasound. Bloods (if included) are taken in the same visit. You’ll receive same‑day verbal ultrasound findings.
Results & follow‑up
Written ultrasound report is provided; blood results typically within 24–72 hours. Super Premium includes a 15‑minute online GP consultation.
