Consider the immediacy and severity of the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>F:<\/strong> Follow the policy. Always adhere to UKSONO Healthcare\u2019s safeguarding policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>E:<\/strong> Engage the individual. Speak to the person sensitively and ensure they feel heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G:<\/strong> Gather information. Record observations and details carefully without making assumptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>U:<\/strong> Understand confidentiality. Share information only with appropriate safeguarding contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A:<\/strong> Act promptly. Report your concerns as soon as possible to the safeguarding team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>R:<\/strong> Refer to appropriate agencies. If necessary, escalate to external safeguarding authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D:<\/strong> Document everything.
