How to prepare

During your scan

A non-invasive, radiation-free ultrasound probe is moved across the right upper abdomen with acoustic gel. You may be asked to hold your breath briefly for clearer imaging. Typical duration is 15–20 minutes.

Results & next steps

You’ll receive a same-day report with actionable guidance. If we detect abnormalities, we’ll recommend appropriate follow-up such as GP review, bloods, FibroScan, MRI/CT or hepatology referral.
