- Assess injuries to tendons, ligaments, or muscles.

What to Expect
During the scan:
- Gel will be applied to the hand and wrist to aid imaging.
- A sonographer will use a handheld probe to produce real-time images of the affected area.
- The procedure is painless and typically takes 20–40 minutes, depending on whether one or both sides are scanned.
