- Fetal heartbeat confirmation and observed movement during the appointment.
- Placenta overview and amniotic fluid overview (as appropriate to gestation).
- Fetal position (lie/presentation) where relevant.
- Brief anatomy review within scan limits and gestation.
Gender confirmation (optional)
If you request gender, we confirm it only when visualisation is clear and reliable. If views are limited due to fetal position or other factors, we explain this and do not guess.

Scope & limitations
Ultrasound has recognised limitations and cannot detect every condition. Image quality can be affected by fetal position and maternal factors. We document what was seen and explain any limitations clearly.

We recommend booking from around 16+ weeks. Confirmation depends on fetal position and the views obtained. If we cannot see clearly, we do not guess.
Will I get a report, images and clips?
Yes — you receive a same-day Medifile report, digital images, and short baby clips where obtainable/recorded.
Does this replace NHS scans?
No. This complements NHS maternity care. Please keep all NHS antenatal and screening appointments.
Can you put the gender result in an envelope / keep it discreet?
Yes. If you prefer a reveal, we can share the result discreetly.
