Our Follicular Tracking scan helps if you’re trying to conceive and want to understand your cycle. By monitoring follicle development across the cycle, we can estimate ovulation timing and identify the optimal fertile window to maximise chances of conception.

What we monitor

• Follicle growth: serial measurements of ovarian follicles to anticipate ovulation.
• Follicle maturation: assessment of size and appearance as follicles approach release.
• Ovulation timing: tracking changes that signal your most fertile days.

What to expect

• Multi‑phase pathway: short scans (≈10–15 mins) on selected days across your cycle.
• Transvaginal ultrasound is standard for accurate follicle and endometrium assessment. A chaperone is available, and written consent is recorded.
• Transabdominal views may be added to complement the internal scan.

How to prepare

• For transvaginal: usually empty your bladder just beforehand.
• For any transabdominal views: a comfortably full bladder can help.
• Bring prior results if available.

Timing your scans

We tailor the schedule to your cycle. Typical plans include a baseline early‑cycle check and follow‑ups around the expected fertile window until a dominant follicle is identified or ovulation is indicated. Your clinician may coordinate timing with any fertility medications.
