Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly online. Your report can be shared with your GP, physiotherapist or specialist.
Can both hips be scanned?
Yes. Both hips can be assessed in one visit. Tunbridge Wells and Orpington both-hip pricing is £250; Canary Wharf both-hip pricing is £290.
Can hip ultrasound detect bursitis?
Yes. Ultrasound can assess the greater trochanteric bursa and surrounding tendon regions for features that may explain outer hip pain.
Can ultrasound assess groin pain?
Ultrasound can assess selected soft tissue, tendon and joint-region causes of groin pain. Depending on symptoms, your clinician may recommend X-ray, MRI or further assessment.
Will I receive results the same day?
Yes. Your findings will be explained during the appointment and a written report will be provided.
Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves and does not use ionising radiation.
