Frequently asked questions
Do I need a GP referral?
No. You can book directly online. Your report can be shared with your GP, physiotherapist or specialist.
Can both wrists be scanned?
Yes. Both wrists can be assessed in one visit. Tunbridge Wells and Orpington both-wrist pricing is £250; Canary Wharf both-wrist pricing is £290.
Can wrist ultrasound assess carpal tunnel syndrome?
Ultrasound can assess the median nerve and carpal tunnel region for features that may support nerve compression. Your clinician may also recommend nerve conduction studies depending on symptoms.

Yes. Ultrasound is very useful for assessing cystic lumps such as ganglion cysts and their relationship to nearby structures.
Will I receive results the same day?
Yes. Your findings will be explained during the appointment and a written report will be provided.
Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves and does not use ionising radiation.
