No. You can book directly online. Your report can be shared with your GP, physiotherapist or specialist.
Can both hands be scanned?
Yes. Both hands can be assessed in one visit. Tunbridge Wells and Orpington both-hand pricing is £250; Canary Wharf both-hand pricing is £290.
Can hand ultrasound assess arthritis?
Ultrasound can assess joint fluid, synovitis and some structural features that may support inflammatory or degenerative joint conditions. Your clinician may recommend blood tests or X-ray depending on symptoms.
Can ultrasound assess tendon injury?
Yes. Ultrasound is useful for assessing flexor and extensor tendons, tenosynovitis, tendon thickening and some tendon tears.
Will I receive results the same day?
Yes. Your findings will be explained during the appointment and a written report will be provided.
Is ultrasound safe?
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves and does not use ionising radiation.
