E: Engage the individual. Speak to the person sensitively and ensure they feel heard.
G: Gather information. Record observations and details carefully without making assumptions.
U: Understand confidentiality. Share information only with appropriate safeguarding contacts.
A: Act promptly. Report your concerns as soon as possible to the safeguarding team.
R: Refer to appropriate agencies. If necessary, escalate to external safeguarding authorities.
D: Document everything. Keep accurate records of all actions, conversations, and decisions.
