What to Expect
Preparation
- Transvaginal Scan Consent: If an internal (transvaginal) ultrasound is clinically indicated, you will receive a secure text message to provide consent in advance. It will only be performed with your explicit consent.
- Full Bladder for Pelvic Scan: Please drink about two pints (~1 litre) of water roughly one hour before your appointment and avoid emptying your bladder until after the scan.
- Blood Test Instructions: Detailed preparation guidance will be sent to you via email with your appointment confirmation.
During your visit
Our sonographer performs your pelvic ultrasound. If bloods are included, your sample is taken during the same visit.
Results & follow‑up
You’ll receive same‑day verbal ultrasound findings with a written summary. Blood test results typically arrive within 24–72 hours. Premium and Super Premium include a 15‑minute online GP consultation.
